Perini Ranch Black Eyed Peas
- 1 lb Dried Farmhouse Vineyards Black Eyed Peas
- 1/4 cup Bacon Grease
- 1 tbsp Salt
- 1 pickled, whole Jalapeño
- Pre-soak dried peas for a minimum of 2 hours before cooking.
- Adding water when needed.
- Add bacon grease and salt.
- Heat on medium high heat and stir occasionally.
- Scoop out the foam that's at the top of the pot.
- Heat to 165 degrees and until peas are tender.
- Add jalapeno and serve.
